Face Lift, Neck Lift, and Jaw Border Lift under local anesthesia
Many of the surgeries that I perform for facial rejuvenation such as face lifts, neck lifts, brow lifts, and upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) take place in a top quality outpatient surgery center near my office in Chicago’s gold coast. In this setting a highly experienced anesthesia team is in charge of administering either intravenous sedation or a light general anesthetic. The advantage of this approach from the patient’s perspective is that you are able to take a nice rest during your facial rejuvenation surgery and have absolutely no recollection of the procedure. Many of the facial rejuvenation surgeries that I carry out are combinations of several procedures; for example cheek lift, jaw border lift, neck lift, brow lift, and eyelid surgery may be combined with fat transfer to provide total facial rejuvenation. Usually these larger facial rejuvenation procedures are best accomplished under some form of intravenous sedation or general anesthesia.
For patients who require less extensive surgery we are able to offer a variety of short incision surgeries that target specific facial regions. These surgeries can be carried out under local anesthesia in both locations of the Whole Beauty Institute™, our Chicago office on North Michigan Avenue and our North Shore office on Green Bay Road in Winnetka.
A number of procedures lend themselves to local anesthesia and limited incisions. These include certain forms of brow lifts, upper eyelid surgery, facial fat transfer, isolated neck lifts, jaw border lifts to reduce jowling, and cheek lifts.
Patients who come to the Whole Beauty Institute™ benefit from our extensive experience in facial rejuvenation surgery. Our attention to detail is reflected in our in-depth patient consultations. During the consultation we obtain an understanding of your goals, so that we can determine whether a limited incision procedure under local anesthesia will work well for you.
