What Neck Lift is Best for Me?

"A neck lift is not a neck lift is not a neck lift". In my experience there is no standard neck lift that works well for all patients. That is why I have developed a variety of approaches to neck lift surgery, each of which is designed for a specific type of neck problem. This blog will serve as an introduction to these operations. I’ll discuss each operation in greater detail in a separate blog. Also visit my website for detailed discussions

When is breast augmentation not enough?

February 05, 2010 @ 01:59 PM — by jqcookmd
If you are considering breast augmentation surgery, it is important for you to realize that breast implants alone will not solve every breast problem. If I were to describe the ideal patient for breast augmentation surgery, she would have a relatively well-toned breast structure with very little of what plastic surgeons refer to as ptosis. Why I Prefer the High Lateral Tension Abdominoplasty

February 05, 2010 @ 01:48 PM — by jqcookmd

In this blog I will give you an overview of the different injectible materials that our team at the Whole Beauty Institute™ utilizes to optimize facial appearance. All of these are non-surgical therapies and can be injected with a fine needle during a visit to one of our offices. When used with intelligence and artistry, these injectibles can provide our patients with a wonderful freshening of the facial appearance with very little down time. In fact, many of our patients who undergo injectible therapy return to work or social interaction within a few hours of treatment.

Breast Augmentation in Athletes

February 05, 2010 @ 01:34 PM — by jqcookmd
I have many patients who are competitive skiers, tennis players, and swimmers, sports that require optimum function of the pec muscles. These patients tell me there is residual soreness and stiffness for a period of one to three months after the surgery, but that they have not experienced any long-term diminishment of their athletic performance.

Breast Augmentation in Athletes: Pectoral Muscle Function and Implant Location Part 2

February 05, 2010 @ 01:25 PM — by jqcookmd
There are a few special sports where it may make sense to consider placing the implant in the subglandular plane, a space that can be developed beneath the undersurface of the breast and above the pectoral muscle.

Breast augmentation in Body Builders

February 05, 2010 @ 01:05 PM — by jqcookmd
On the one hand the poses which body builders strike during competition involve forceful contraction of well-developed pectoral muscles. This places subpectoral breast implants at a disadvantage, since the contraction of the muscle will distort the shape of the breast.
