Case 5: Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)

Patient had three children, one of which was delivered by C-section. Preopertively, all layers of support of the abdomen were stretched, no doubt related to the three pregnancies. This included a gap in the deep structural support which caused the sit-up muscles to move towards the side. No amount of exercise would be able to change the shape. There was also a change in the tone of the skin and the intermediate fascial support as well.
