Dysport®

Rana demonstrates the administration of Dysport®, an injectable which reduces the appearance of frown lines between the eyes. The results appear promptly, and the treatment hurts no more than an eyebrow waxing session. Dysport® treatment can even be performed at our Chicago and Winnetka offices during a patient's lunch break.

MS. RENA KENNELLY: Hi. I’m Rena, Registered Nurse with the Whole Beauty Institute of Chicago. This video will demonstrate what it’s like to receive a Dysport Facial treatment or Aloxyin as it’s known in Europe to relax expressive facial lines. We are here today with Lori. We have had an in-depth discussion on the things that she would like to improve. Lori, why don’t you tell us about that? LORI: People think I’m angry when I’m not. This area when I frown it just the creases are so heavy and ugh it’s just so apparent that I do look like I am angry in this area. I don’t care for the white lines here and I just want this all relaxed and smooth and nice look. MS. KENNELLY: We can absolutely do that for you Lori. We’ve got a wonderful treatment with Dysport. It’s microinjections through this area here, which actually softens the muscle, which relaxes these lines that you are concerned with. LORI: That would be fabulous. I would just love to have these lines decreased on my forehead. MS. KENNELLY: And so shall we start that treatment for you now? LORI: I’m excited. Let’s get started. MS. KENNELLY: Let’s do it. We are going to cleanse the skin first. Remove all traces of make-up. We are going to use a very fine needle to do the treatment. My patients tell me that the treatment is similar to having receiving a bug bite. The dosage is customized to Lori to give her the most optimal individualized results. We ask Lori not to lie down for four hours after the treatment. The onset of action is a quick as three days and the treatment can last up to four months. LORI: This is fabulous. I can’t even see where you injected me Rana. I think I get more irritation from eyebrow waxing than what you have just done to me now. MS. KENNELLY: Yeah. You are going to love it Lori. This really is a lunchtime procedure and as you can see you can go straight back to work. There is no evidence except in a couple of days time there is going to be relaxation there and people are going to feel that you look refreshed and rejuvenated. LORI: What a fabulous pickup. MS. KENNELLY: It’s been a week since Lori’s original Dysport treatment. At the Whole Beauty Institute we like to have our patients return in approximately a week to two weeks to follow up on the results. Thank you for coming back in Lori. Tell me how the treatment has been working for you? LORI: Just wonderful. I absolutely love the results. I have um noticed a difference three or four days after my treatment and what I love is that my friends are noticing um a difference. They are saying what have you done lately? You look great. You look fabulous so I like that they know something is different about me but they don’t know exactly what I’ve had done so I love the treatment. MS. KENNELLY: On reviewing Lori’s before and after Dysport pictures you can see in the first picture Lori wanted to treat the vertical frown lines between her eye brows. Unfortunately this made her look angry when she was not. In the after photo you can see the gabella area has softened considerably to give Lori a natural fresh look.
