Hand Rejuvenation

Rana demonstrates hand rejuvenation treatment on one of our patients. We use Radiesse® at our Chicago and Winnetka offices to help plump up hands that have lost elasticity in the skin. Intense pulsed light may also be used in hand rejuvenation treatment.

MS. KENNELLY: Hi. I’m Rana at the Whole Beauty Institute. Today we are going to demonstrate a hand rejuvenation treatment-using Radius. Sherry, tell me what brings you in today? SHERRY: Well hi Rana. I’m here today because I do not like how my hands are starting to show the first signs of aging. I am seeing the veins, my skin is loosing its elasticity and I just quite don’t like the way they feel anymore. So I am very excited about the Radiesse. MS. KENNELLY: We are going to start our hand rejuvenation treatment with Radiesse today. This is such a fun treatment because patients have instant results. So we’ve cleansed the skin, we’ve matted the hands where we are going to place the Radiesse boluses. I am going to tint the skin, place the Radiesse under the skin very superficially and create a little bolus here. This bolus we will message shortly when we are finished and it will fill in the indentations of the hand to give more of a youthful appearance, another little bolus here. One, two, three little pinch. This really is a comfortable treatment. Patients are so impressed that they all want to watch. They’re intrigued and very delighted by the instant results. And we’ve got another depletion here. We are going to be careful to avoid these vessels so we have no bruising. One, two, three little pinch. Relax the skin, now the bolus. We are going to place some of our soothing serum on the skin for the message and I’ll ask Sherry to do a little gentle message at home also. I come in and I message the hands and just spread this product very easily into these areas of depletion. Sherry will see this instant results. Again a little aggravation and people are very impressed on how efficient this treatment is. And you can see that the product is filling in those areas of depletion. We are really having a lovely result. SHERRY: This is fabulous. I, I, it shows up immediately. The results are immediate. MS. KENNELLY: We are going to go to the other hand. And I ask patients to message their hands when they leave today’s appointment just for the next day or two. It’s possible that they might get a little swollen, possible for a small bruise but typically I see patients very happy and delighted with the results and eager for their next treatment. SHERRY: Rana, thank you so much. You were right. Radiesse really does work. My hands look so different now. They look really great. Thanks again for everything. I love it.
