DermaSweep® in Chicago and Winnetka
Exfoliate. Infuse. Refresh Your Skin.

Healthy-looking skin begins with an effective approach to exfoliation, hydration, and skin renewal. DermaSweep® is a customizable, non-invasive resurfacing treatment that gently removes accumulated surface skin cells while simultaneously improving microcirculation and preparing the skin for targeted, professional-strength infusions.

The result is skin that can look smoother, brighter, more hydrated, and refreshed—often with little to no interruption to your normal routine.

Unlike traditional microdermabrasion or HydraFacial, DermaSweep uses a specialized bristle-tip system combined with controlled suction to gently resurface the outermost layer of the skin, improve circulation to the skin, and increase lymphatic drainage. Following exfoliation, customized solutions can be applied according to your individual skin concerns and treatment goals.
At the Whole Beauty® Institute, your DermaSweep treatment can be customized as part of a comprehensive approach to maintaining healthy, vibrant skin.

What Is DermaSweep?

DermaSweep is a professional skin-resurfacing treatment that combines exfoliation, controlled suction, and customized topical infusion in a single treatment.

During treatment, the DermaSweep handpiece gently lifts the skin against a specialized treatment tip. This removes superficial dead skin cells while the vacuum action helps increase circulation at the skin’s surface. Once the desired degree of exfoliation has been achieved, a skincare infusion selected for your individual needs is applied.

What Can DermaSweep Improve?

DermaSweep may be a good option if your skin feels dull, rough, congested, dry, or simply in need of a refresh.
Depending on your treatment plan, DermaSweep can be used to help:

  • Improve the appearance of dull or lackluster skin
  • Smooth rough or uneven texture
  • Improve the appearance of superficial discoloration and sun damage
  • Hydrate dry skin
  • Refine the appearance of fine lines
  • Refresh congested or blemish-prone skin
  • Improve overall skin radiance
  • Prepare the skin for targeted professional skincare ingredients

DermaSweep is also designed to accommodate sensitive skin and delicate treatment areas for patients who want professional exfoliation but prefer a gentler resurfacing option.

The DermaSweep Difference: Exfoliation + Infusion

One of the advantages of DermaSweep is that resurfacing is only part of the treatment.

Step 1: Resurface

The specialized bristle tip gently removes the outermost accumulation of dead skin cells. This controlled mechanical exfoliation helps create a smoother-looking surface and can improve the appearance of tone, texture, and radiance.

Step 2: Refresh

A controlled vacuum accompanies the exfoliation process to help increase microcirculation, bringing nutrients to the surface of the skin, boosting oxygenation, and lymphatic drainage, all while the skin is resurfaced.

Step 3: Infuse

Once the skin has been exfoliated, an infusion can be selected according to your treatment goals. DermaSweep offers formulations incorporating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, peptides, alpha-hydroxy acids, and other medical-grade skincare ingredients.

DermaSweep’s PeelFusion

Patients interested in more significant resurfacing may also be candidates for one of DermaSweep’s PeelFusion options. These combine mechanical resurfacing with professional peeling formulations and are distinct from the gentler infusion treatments, so expected peeling, aftercare, and downtime can vary according to the formulation selected. Your Whole Beauty® Institute provider will recommend the appropriate treatment based on your skin, your goals, and the amount of resurfacing you desire.

What Is a DermaSweep Treatment Like?

DermaSweep treatments are generally comfortable and efficient. An appointment typically takes approximately 30 minutes, although treatment time can vary depending on the areas being addressed and the specific protocol selected.

Is There Downtime After DermaSweep?

For standard DermaSweep treatments, downtime is generally minimal. The skin may have a warm, pink appearance immediately following treatment, typically resolving within approximately 30 minutes.

Downtime can be different when a more intensive PeelFusion is incorporated. Depending on the formulation and strength selected, some dryness, flaking, or peeling may occur.

Your provider will explain what to expect and provide appropriate post-treatment skincare recommendations.

When Will I See Results?

One of the reasons patients enjoy DermaSweep is its ability to provide an immediate refresh. DermaSweep reports that visible improvement may be noticeable following a single treatment, although individual results vary.

For more significant or cumulative improvement, the manufacturer recommends a series of treatments. Its patient guidance indicates that more lasting results may be achieved with approximately three to six treatments spaced about 10 days to two weeks apart, accompanied by an appropriate home skincare program.

Your ideal schedule will depend on your skin condition, the type of DermaSweep treatment performed, and your long-term skincare goals.

Who Is a Good Candidate for DermaSweep?

DermaSweep may be appropriate for women and men who want to improve the appearance and feel of their skin without undergoing an aggressive resurfacing procedure.

It can be particularly attractive for patients who want regular professional exfoliation, additional hydration, improvement in dullness or uneven texture, or a treatment that can evolve along with the changing needs of their skin.

For pigmentation, active acne, rosacea, highly reactive skin, or other dermatologic conditions, an individualized assessment is especially important. DermaSweep itself recommends professional evaluation and customization for specific pigmentation conditions such as melasma.

DermaSweep Is Great for a Special Event

Since a standard DermaSweep treatment combines light exfoliation with customizable hydration and skin-conditioning ingredients with little downtime, it can be particularly appealing before a wedding, party, vacation, photography session, or other special occasion.

If you have an important date approaching, however, we recommend discussing the timing of your treatment with your provider rather than trying a new procedure immediately before the event.

Make DermaSweep Part of Your Skin Maintenance Plan

Great skin is rarely the result of a single treatment. It comes from combining professional treatments with thoughtful daily skincare and adjusting both as your skin changes.

DermaSweep can be performed periodically for a quick refresh or incorporated into a more comprehensive skin-maintenance program. It can also complement other non-surgical aesthetic treatments when appropriately timed by your provider.

At the Whole Beauty® Institute, we take an individualized approach to skin rejuvenation. We will evaluate your complexion, discuss what you would like to improve, and recommend a treatment strategy designed around your skin rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol.
