Exocube™ PRPC

Using the Natural Healing Signals in Your Own Blood to Help Improve Skin Texture and Firmness and Support Thinning Hair

Regenerative aesthetics is moving beyond traditional platelet-rich plasma treatments toward more refined ways of capturing the biological signals contained within your own blood.

EXOCUBE™ is an advanced processing system that transforms your own platelet-rich plasma into a concentrated platelet-derived secretome, referred to as platelet-rich plasma concentrate, or PRPC. The result is a concentrated mix of naturally occurring signaling molecules that play a role in tissue repair and renewal.

Rather than adding volume or changing facial contours, EXOCUBE PRPC treatment is designed to work within the skin or scalp environment to support regenerative processes over time.

At the Whole Beauty® Institute, this treatment may be considered for patients interested in improving skin quality, texture and elasticity, addressing certain acne-related textural irregularities, or supporting scalp health and hair density.

What Can Exocube PRPC Do for Hair?

Exocube PRPC can be incorporated into a regenerative hair-restoration program.

Hair follicles exist within a complex biological environment influenced by vascular supply, inflammation and cellular signaling. Platelet-derived secretomes are being investigated for their ability to support that environment and promote healthier follicular activity.

Clinical cases including patients with androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium, with reported improvements in:

  • Hair density
  • Overall hair quality
  • Scalp condition
  • Scalp coverage
  • Vertex coverage

For hair loss, treatment should always begin with an evaluation because not every form of thinning hair has the same cause or should be treated in the same way.

What Can Exocube PRPC Do for the Skin?

For facial and body rejuvenation, Exocube-derived PRPC is intended as a skin-quality treatment. It may be considered for patients concerned about:
  • Fine lines and early signs of skin aging
  • Reduced elasticity or firmness
  • Uneven or rough skin texture
  • Acne-related textural irregularities and superficial scarring
  • Uneven-looking pigmentation
  • Areas of crepey or aging skin beyond the face
  • Recovery support after other skin treatments

PRP vs. Exocube PRPC: What Is the Difference?

Traditional PRP concentrates platelets from your blood and relies upon their subsequent activation to release regenerative growth factors.

Exocube is designed to take the process further by mechanically activating the platelet/plasma preparation, filtering larger material and concentrating the resulting platelet-derived secretome using tangential-flow filtration.

The resulting PRPC therefore contains a broader range of signaling molecules than platelet growth factors alone.

For the patient, the distinction is simple: PRP concentrates platelets. Exocube PRPC is designed to concentrate the regenerative signals released from the platelet/plasma environment.

Frequently Asked Questions about Exocube PRPC

What Is Exocube PRPC?

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, has been used for years in regenerative medicine. When platelets are activated, they release biological signaling molecules including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF and basic FGF, which participate in processes such as cellular proliferation, angiogenesis, extracellular-matrix production and tissue remodeling.

EXOCUBE takes this concept a step further. It uses a multi-step process to activate, filter and concentrate your plasma, capturing more of the signaling molecules that platelets release.

Importantly, this is an autologous treatment: the starting material comes from your own blood.

Why does the secretome matter?

Platelets communicate with surrounding tissue through much more than a single growth factor. Their secretome includes a broad network of growth factors, cytokines, regulatory proteins and extracellular vesicles that participate in cell-to-cell signaling. Together, these components may help influence processes associated with inflammation regulation, collagen organization, angiogenesis and tissue remodeling.

What Is an Exocube Treatment Like?

Treatment begins with a consultation and evaluation to determine whether regenerative therapy is appropriate for your concern.

On the day of treatment, a quantity of blood is drawn in much the same way as it would be for a traditional PRP treatment. The plasma portion is separated and then processed through the Exocube system.

The final PRPC preparation is then injected into predetermined areas of the skin or scalp according to your individualized treatment plan. The published clinical cases used subdermal or subcutaneous administration, with the volume tailored to the treatment area and indication.

Some patients in the supplied cases received one session, while others underwent two treatments, emphasizing that treatment frequency should be individualized rather than presented as a universal protocol.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Exocube PRPC may be of interest to adults who want to improve the quality and regenerative environment of the skin or scalp rather than dramatically alter their appearance.

It may be particularly appealing to someone noticing early skin aging, loss of firmness, uneven texture, superficial acne-related irregularities, or certain types of hair thinning.

Candidacy also depends upon your medical history, the condition being treated, and the quality of the starting blood product. A consultation is essential to determine whether Exocube—or another aesthetic or regenerative treatment—is the better choice.

What Are the Benefits of Exocube PRPC?

The principal attraction of this treatment is that it combines several characteristics that are increasingly important in regenerative aesthetics: it is made from your own blood, minimally invasive and designed to improve tissue quality.

Depending upon the treatment area and indication, potential benefits may include smoother, firmer, more even-looking skin and support for hair density and scalp coverage.

When Will I See Results?

Clinical observations in the supplied studies suggest that changes develop over weeks to months as regenerative and remodeling processes take place.

Skin improvements have been documented at approximately two to five months, while hair-restoration cases have shown progressive changes at three to six months.

Individual results will vary according to age, treatment indication, baseline tissue quality and treatment plan.

What Is the Recovery Like?

Most patients can return to their normal routine relatively quickly, although temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur around injection sites. Your Whole Beauty Institute provider will review specific aftercare instructions based upon the area treated.

How Long Do Exocube Results Last?

Because Exocube PRPC works by supporting biological remodeling, results develop gradually and their duration can vary from patient to patient. Longer-term durability and the ideal maintenance schedule have not yet been definitively established.

A maintenance treatment may eventually be appropriate for some patients, depending on individual results.

A More Advanced Approach to Regenerative Aesthetics

The goal is simply to help the skin—or scalp—function and look healthier.

EXOCUBE PRPC represents an emerging approach to regenerative aesthetics that helps support the body’s natural repair processes. For the right patient, it may be used alone or incorporated into a more comprehensive treatment plan.

At the Whole Beauty® Institute, every regenerative treatment begins with an individualized evaluation. We will consider the condition of your skin or hair, your goals and the other treatment options available before recommending the approach that makes the most sense for you.
